Violet Blooms and Clover Leaves

Early violet blooms
New beginning to herald
Springs new greenery
Clover, four leaved or three bring
Some lucky tidings; some not

this time an attempt at Tanka.(5-7-5-7-7 with 2 different ideas linked by third line) I came to know about Tankas on this site. Found it very interesting and was excited to try out immedeatelt. Image taken from Magpie Tales - 57 Image prompt

Oops! My typo!
Just a thought - did you mean:-

A new beginning TO herald, not 'do' herald? I think it might read better... Thought it might be your typo?

T F Carthick said...

@Jinksy - It was not a typo. But your right 'To' does sound much better and seems to bring our better meaning. Thanks for pointing out.

Very beautiful in thoughts and words!! Created a wonderful imagery but I did notice an extra syllable in the second and last line of the Tanka!! Sorry about that but I know you are a perfectionist!! :)

Thanks a lot Meryl.

Thanks a lot Lucy Westerne. I am glad you noticed the philosophical aspect also. I had tried to relate season and philosophy.

Thanks a lot for your comments, Nanka. Glad you liked the tanka. Yeah, I had a made a mistake in counting the syllables. Corrected it now. Had counted beginning as 2 syllables and lucky as 1. Thanks for pointing out. I am still new to counting syllables. I need help at times but want to get it right.

I think the images were connected perfectly. Good job. You've made me want to give the Tanka a go.
