Paper

Priceless pearls of

Ancient wisdom are

Preserved for

Eternity in these plain

Rolls of tree pulp

My first attempt at Acrostic poetry (First letters of the lines form a word) has been posted for Theme Thursday meme : Paper  .

Beautifully done Acrostic and yes pearls of wisdom, teachings of the scriptures it is in ancient texts!! Paper is also made from the papyrus plant throughout the ancient Mediterranean world for writing or painting which are preserved even to this day!! Well thought and scripted acrostic poem!!

Great perspective! The problem is that with recylcing (which is a good thing), often these pearls are destroyed...but then again on the other hand are recreated yet again with different perspectives.

A lot to think about!

Thanks, Nanka. Glad to see you visiting and commenting so regularly. You and your daughter are experts on acrostics and haikus. So glad you liked my first acrostic.

Thanks, Meryl. Yeah, paper unfortunately does not always preserve.

@Nanka - By the way I actualy had pondered whether it made sense bacuse many countries had used leather in ancient time and reed pulp is not really tree pulp. But then now even those wisdom is now preserved on regular paper books only. In future ofcourse paper would be no more and the storage would be on silica.

Interesting usage of imagery in your acrostic. If that is the first you'd written you must be a natural! Reminded me of Michael Scotts philosophical musings on paper. Excellent 1 Shot. Take it easy,

Possibly the best acrostic I've ever read. I'm generally not a fan of the form, but this piece comes out so naturally it's as if the form is secondary to it and not dictated by it. Lovely use of alliteration as well. :)

Thanks a lot for your valuable comments, signed..bkm, anita.

I am really overwhemed by your words of appreciation, Caribbean Fool and arspoetica. Even I was not a fan of this form, arspoetica till I tried this.

Interesting id you have CF. I am discovering I am not the only Fool around any more.
